Officials reported that Gonzales then reached toward the handgun in his waistband and attempted to draw it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At that moment, SWAT Officer Coker<\/strong> fired his service weapon, striking Gonzales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gonzales fell to the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once officers confirmed that the immediate threat had ended, they quickly approached and began providing emergency medical aid. Despite those efforts, Gonzales was pronounced deceased at approximately 11:59 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigators reported that the woman who placed the original emergency call and the children involved in the custody dispute were unharmed. No civilians or responding officers suffered physical injuries during the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
