Authorities have confirmed that three suspects have been sentenced to life imprisonment for a premeditated home invasion that left a family of three dead and two young children orphaned.
According to investigators, the suspects disguised themselves as UPS delivery drivers to gain the family’s trust and access their home. Once inside, they held the household at gunpoint. The father, mother, and their 20-year-old son were taken away within the home and later killed. The attack occurred in front of the family’s children, who were just two and five years old at the time.
After the killings, the suspects fled the scene without physically harming the children. Authorities said the five-year-old girl realized her parents were dead and attempted to shield her younger brother from seeing what had happened.
