The viral footage, taken on February 9, shows the woman walking to a self-service kiosk to place her order when the guard grabbed her arm and delivered a vicious slap across her face . Witness Alejandro Sanchez, who filmed the encounter, stated the guard had been telling her to leave for no clear reason, and “he just went off” . Sanchez added, “He slapped the s**t out of her. It was crazy. Everybody was shocked” .
The guard continued to pursue the dazed woman as she clutched her face, eventually escorting her out . Taco Bell stated the guard was no longer employed by the third-party security company, but civil rights leaders, including Najee Ali of Project Islamic Hope, demanded his arrest and prosecution, labeling the act an assault .
